Defining Features of the statue:  In this form of Ganesh, Ganesh and Hanuman are synthesized in one form of Aadhi Amdhaprabhu.  This is much like the form of Ardhanari in which Shiva and Parvati share the same body.  Ganesh is on the right side and Hanuman on the left.  Hanuman has his one hand up in the Abhaya mudra.  Ganesh holds a tusk.  Ganeshas long trunk predominates the face with Hanumans long tail encircling the back of the sculpture.  There is a one temple to Aadhi Amdhaprabhu in Chennai named Madhya Kailash.

The Aadhi Amdhaprabhu statue is made from three separate castings of pure copper (the Ganesh side), german brass or pewter (the Hanuman side) and bronze (the base).


Care: The piece can be used both indoors and outdoors. Dust the piece regularly. If you would like the piece to shine use a cotton cloth with some coconut oil or other natural oil to wipe down the statue.
